🏃♂️ I’m Running the 2026 London Marathon for WheelPower, Please Help Me Make Every Mile Count!
In 2017, I trained hard for what was supposed to be my marathon moment but injury had other plans. I crossed the line but in agony and didn't really enjoy what should of been a great achievement. That disappointment has stayed with me for years, but so did a quiet promise: One day, I’ll be back.
Now, in 2026, that promise becomes reality and I have dusted off my running shoes.
I’m taking on the London Marathon my first since 2017 not just for myself, but for an incredible cause.
About WheelPower - They’re a charity that transforms lives by helping people with disabilities discover the power of sport. They rebuild confidence, create community, and open doors through physical activity.
They have been providing opportunities for people with physical impairments to take part in sport for over 75 years. Based at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, the birthplace of the Paralympic movement, WheelPower is at the heart of wheelchair sport.
From first-timers to Paralympic medallists, we support and promote participation at all levels. We have seen how playing sport can enrich lives, offering tremendous physical and psychological benefits, whatever your age or ability.
Their mission inspires me to raise money for this fantastic cause and seeing first hand what they do daily strives me to raise as much money as I can for this amazing cause.
This run is more than a personal comeback. It’s a tribute to resilience and a chance to help others on their own journeys.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help WheelPower continue their amazing work.
Please support me if you can, and let’s make every mile matter.
I also have the amazing opportunity for any business that is prepared to make a substantial donation to have their logo(s) on my raceday T-shirt.
