Hi there! We are Sean and Jordan, and this year we are taking part in the 5K Challenge with Lauren to help raise money for a fantastic charity, in memory of two of our loved ones.

Sean's why.

On 7th September 2005, I lost my mum, Deirdre Harkin, to breast cancer that ended up spreading to other parts of the body. In honour of her and her 20 year anniversary this year, I wanted to be able to do something to try and mark her passing in a positive way.

Jordan's why.

On 15th August 2024, my beloved Auntie Elaine, Elaine Oakley, slipped away after a long-term battle with cancer that started in her kidney. Elaine was always such an active person, and loved being outdoors so it seemed fitting to take part in this challenge in honour of her. She gave nothing but care and kindness to others so I can only but try to give some of that back in her memory.

Cancer Focus Northern Ireland can provide incredible support to families affected by cancer, so we wanted to provide some funding and support to help maintain this care. Unfortunately nowadays, we know more and more people affected by this horrific disease, and we want nothing more than give a little help in the fight against it.
