Story
Recently, Angela and I decided to take on a new challenge: learning Latin and Ballroom dancing. And let me tell you “learning” is a generous term! Remembering the steps from one week to the next is harder than it looks. It’s definitely not as simple as “left foot, right foot.”
To really push myself, I’ve signed up to take part in Strictly Brackley Town 2026, a fantastic local event raising money for Dementia UK. This means fake tans, sequins, and outfits that are definitely not shorts and a T-shirt!
This cause is incredibly important, and I’d love your support. Please donate whatever you can through this JustGiving page and help me make a difference—while cheering me on as I attempt to dance without tripping over my own feet!
Thank you for your generosity and encouragement!
✨ About Strictly Brackley Town 2026 ✨
Strictly Brackley Town is a joyful, community-led charity dance show produced by Joanne Banham Dance Company (JBDC). Each year, we bring together local people, our heroes, and give them the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn to dance and perform on stage, all while raising vital funds for charity.
Our heroes receive 7 weeks of free professional dance training, before taking to the stage at Winchester House School on Saturday 28th March 2026, partnered with one of our incredible JBDC dancers.
For 2026, we are proud to be raising money for two fantastic charities:
💜 Dementia UK, supported by Winchester House School
💛 Katharine House Hospice, through audience votes, raffle and lucky squares grid
At its heart, Strictly Brackley Town is about confidence, inclusion and community. It’s about saying yes to a challenge, supporting one another, and creating something truly special together, while making a real difference close to home.
Thank you for supporting our heroes and helping us continue to bring this joyful event to life. Every donation, share and cheer from the audience helps us change lives 💃✨
