Story
In 2024, I'm running four marathons in four months – one in September, one in October, one in November, and one in December. I'm doing this to raise money for the Alzheimers Society and their important work.
In 2017, my dad was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's in his mid-50s. Since then, the condition has robbed him of almost everything.
By 2050, it's expected that 1.5 million people in the UK will be living with dementia. That's 1 in every 45 people.
There is currently no cure.
Dementia is coming for somebody you love, or maybe even you.
And that's why the work of charities like Alzheimer's Society is so important.
Alzheimer's Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives, by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
I'd really appreciate anything you can contribute to this cause.
