On Sunday 21st September my brother Liam and myself will be attempting to ‘tame the dragon’ by completing Ironman Wales. For those of you who don’t know what that entails, it is a 2.4 mile sea swim, 112 miles of cycling followed by a marathon!

In December 2022 my daughter Cerys was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 2.

It was a traumatic and scary time but she rose to the challenge like a champ. During our stay in hospital and afterwards the West Wales Paediatric Diabetic Team have been absolutely incredible in the care and support they have shown Cerys and the rest of our family.

We would love to try and raise £1000 to donate to their team so that they can continue to deliver world class care and support to other children who get diagnosed with T1D in West Wales. Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated and if we can get past the £1000 mark it will make all the miles worthwhile. Diolch yn fawr!
