This November, I have challenged myself to take on HYROX to help raise money for people living with cancer.

I will be racing in the Manchester Hyrox on November 9th 2024 alongside my good friend Luke. Unfortunately, three years ago, Luke lost his dad to a short battle with cancer. I have been inspired by the strength and drive Luke has shown ever since and am honoured to race with him this November, in memory of Angelo.

I am very fortunate to say that I still have Dad and grandad after each has had to battle cancer on multiple occasions. My dad is currently fighting off his third bout, with chemotherapy scheduled soon, and continues to show unbelievable courage and hasn't let it stop him from enjoying himself (maybe a little too much...) . The strength and resilience of those battling cancer, are superior to what is needed for any physical challenge, such as a Hyrox. The thoughts of them both and Ange will be with us every step on November 9th.

HYROX combines both running & functional workout stations, where participants run 1km, followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times.

I'd be so grateful if you could help me reach my £400 pledge, which could run the Macmillan Support Line phone service for 1 hour.
