I’m am cycling 1,500 miles from Land’s End to John o’Groats, taking the scenic route through Wales, over the Yorkshire Dales and then along Scotland’s west coast. It's about the same distance as London to Athens. I’ll be tackling the biggest climbs in England, Wales and Scotland climbing the equivalent height of Everest at least three times over.
I’m not sure what I’m more worried about: the climbs or the Scottish midges.
I’m doing this in support of MfA, an incredible charity that trains the poorest with skills to find work to build a better future for themselves and their families. Having visited their site in Zambia myself, I’ve seen first-hand how thoughtfully every donation is spent.
I am hoping to raise £2500 which would pay for all the equipment and resources to teach the practical workshop skills for the mechanics course this year.
