Story
On 16th May, Charlie will attempt something most people would never even consider: a 100km ultra marathon along the Jurassic Coast in Dorset.
To put that into perspective, this is more than two full marathons back-to-back. Not on flat roads. Not with cheering crowds every mile. But across steep coastal paths, brutal climbs, and relentless descents.
What the challenge really involves:
100 kilometres in a single day
Constant elevation changes along exposed coastal paths
Mental exhaustion as much as physical pain
Running long after the body wants to stop
Managing fatigue, nutrition, and mindset for 10–15+ hours
The training behind the scenes:
To even stand on the start line, Charlie has committed to months of intense training:
Early mornings and long weekends spent running
Back-to-back long runs
Training through bad weather, and fatigue
Building not just physical strength, but mental toughness.
You can follow Charlie's training journey on his instagram : https://www.instagram.com/charlierunss/
You can even watch Charlie live on the day and follow him throughout his run by tracking him, a link will come out nearer the time so make sure you watch this page!
