As part of the Air Cadets Junior Leaders course I have the opportunity to help support The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF).I have elected to cycle from the east to west coast of the UK!
JTYAF foundation was set up in memory of John Thornton who was top student of JL in the past and went on to join the Royal Marines. After John lost his life in Afghanistan in 2008, his parents set up the charity in his memory. JTYAF strives to help young people achieve their dreams in spite of potential barriers and since its inception the charity has amassed over £950,000 for youth organisations which enhance the lives of young people in the UK.
I’m hoping to raise at least £750 to help support the charity and I can’t do it without your help. Any donations are greatly appreciated and I would love if you could share the fundraiser through social media to help us smash the goal!
Stay tuned to my social media for updates on my preparation and the ride on the 22nd and 23rd of February.
