Story
In February 2025 my son Nefyn was treated in Crosshouse Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. My family and I were overwhelmed with the care that Nefyn received and we are so grateful for everything they did to save his life. I'm teaming up with some of my closest friends to endure the Three Peaks Challenge and hope to raise as much money as possible so that Crosshouse Children's Fund can continue their incredible work.
What is the National Three Peaks Challenge?
The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales aiming to complete within 24 hours. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft).
What is Crosshouse Children's Fund?
Each year more than 25,000 babies, children and young people from across Ayrshire require treatment in hospital. With the help of communities in Ayrshire & Arran, Crosshouse Children's Fund raises vital funds to help young patients and their families have the best possible hospital experiences.
By funding pioneering medical equipment and research, supporting families, supporting every child through play, providing bereavement support, and providing practical and emotional support to staff, children receive the extra special care they deserve.
