Seb's triathlon fundraiser for Isle Listen

Sébastien Bar is raising money for Isle Listen

My Manx Triathlon · 16 July 2025

Isle Listen is a young person's mental health charitable organisation focused on early intervention & prevention; helping to avoid the unnecessary escalation of mental health problems through 1-to-1 Listening Service support in schools, and its wide-reaching mental health educational programme.

Story

Mental health is a crucial issue in our society, for young people, adults and the elderly alike. It is a cause that is particularly close to my heart as you and I all know someone who has struggled, sometimes in silence, with mental health problems.

As a teacher trainer, the support that Isle Listen provides to the Manxcommunity is particularly important to me. Isle Listen is a mental health charitable organisation part of MCH Psychological Services, an Isle of Man registered charity which has provided psychological support since 1983. Isle Listen provides essential mental health support to young people in schools and the community through its low-level one-to-one Listening Service and wide-reaching educational programme, as well as mental health training to employers and their workforce through its paid services which supports the charity's free services to young people on the Island.

Therefore, as a triathlon and sidecar fan, and for all my friends and family on the Isle of Man, I am doing a 3 legs sport in the 3 legs country to raise funds for Isle Listen.
