Story
I’ve never really shared this publicly before.
When I was 14, I lost my dad to suicide.
It’s the moment that has shaped my life more than anything else, and I still think about him every day.
At the time, he felt like it was the only way out. And still today, thousands of men lose their lives to suicide every year.
On May 17, I’m running the Hackney Half Marathon in his memory, raising money for Campaign Against Living Miserably
Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is a suicide prevention charity. We’ve got loads of tools and resources to help people find the support they need, including a life-saving helpline for people who can’t see a way forward, have lost someone to suicide, or are worried about their friends or loved ones.
£12.20 is enough to fund one potentially life-saving call.
