Hi, I’m Aksharan, a 12-year-old from Germany 🇩🇪

On 23rd May 2026, I’ll be taking part in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival 🏃‍♂️ with a mission that means a lot to me.

I’m running to support a meaningful cause through KiliPeople and JMFOA-UK — helping to fund the education of 17 nursing assistant students (NVQ Level 4) in the Amparai district of Eastern Sri Lanka.

This initiative is all about creating real opportunities. By supporting these students, we’re helping young women and men gain the skills they need to build careers in the healthcare sector, become financially independent, and shape a better future for themselves and their communities.

Every step I take in this marathon is for them.
