Hello! Welcome to my Fundraising page.

My name is Seoyeon and I've been volunteering with GirlGuiding as a leader-in-training since Oct 2021. I'm excited to have been selected to work in partnership with the World Association of Girl Guides and Scouts (WAGGGS) for a GOLD project in 2023.

As a new and first-generation Guider, I can’t wait to learn more about GirlGuiding from other members of GOLD and contribute to the impact the charity has on girls and women globally.

It’s GOLD’s first year working in partnership with Girl Guides Association of St Lucia (GGASL). The aims of our 3 week project include:

* Supporting GGASL with the recruitment and training of new volunteers

* Supporting members to stay onboard for longer

* Developing a national programme that can be used by all volunteers

GGASL had over 200 members in 2018, but the pandemic has caused numbers fall. Only 2 units have been able to open since. GGASL are to celebrate their 100th anniversary in 2025, and it would be incredible to have more members celebrate the centenary.

GOLD empowers young women to work in partnership with other guiding organisations and share skills. People like you have enabled previous projects including campaigns to end violence against women and girls in Malwai, and encouraging young leaders in Latvia. I’m excited to be involved in growing our Guiding Community and thankful for your support in helping me share the experiences and opportunities available to girls and women in St Lucia.
