Story
This April, I’m taking on the London Marathon in support of Sense, an amazing charity that supports people with complex disabilities, including those who are deafblind or who face serious communication challenges.
Through my voluntary work with Sense, I’ve had the chance to meet and work alongside some incredible people – customers, families, and staff – all of whom have shown me just how powerful good communication and the right support can be. Many of the people Sense supports face huge barriers when it comes to connecting with the world around them, and Sense is there to make sure they’re never isolated or left behind.
This cause also means a lot to me personally. I’ve seen people I care about and have worked along side struggle with communication difficulties, and I know how tough and lonely that can feel. Everyone deserves to be heard, understood, and supported – and Sense helps make that happen every day.
Running 26.2 miles is a big challenge , but I’m doing it to help raise awareness and funds for a charity that’s doing life-changing work.
If you’re able to donate, I’d be so grateful. Every penny helps support someone to feel seen, heard, and valued.
Thank you so much 💜
