Story
Welcome to our fundraising page!
On Saturday 25th July 2026, the coaches and parents of SESKU Miners are stepping out from the sidelines and onto the pitch. We are entering the Adwick Park Rangers tournament, and while the football might not be Premier League quality, our commitment to an incredible cause absolutely is.
Why We Are Playing
The letters in SESKU stand for South Elmsall, South Kirkby, and Upton. Our club has always been deeply rooted in these local communities, and we believe in looking out for one another. That is why we have partnered with Martin House Children's Hospice.
Martin House provides vital, compassionate care for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses across our region. Crucially, they are there to wrap their arms around grieving parents and families when they need support the very most. We cannot think of a more deserving or perfect charity to play for.
100% of Your Donation Goes to Charity
We want to be completely transparent about where your money goes:
Zero Overhead: All tournament entry fees and expenses are being paid out of our own pockets.
Special Kit Sponsored: We have been incredibly fortunate to secure local sponsorship for a custom kit made especially for this tournament, meaning no club or charity funds were used to kit us out.
Because of this, 100% of every single donation made to this page goes directly to Martin House to help them continue their vital work.
How You Can Help
Whether you can spare the price of a pint, a coffee, or a bit more, every donation makes a massive difference to families facing unimaginable hardships.
If you are free on the 25th of July, please come down to support us (and probably have a laugh at our fitness levels!). If you can't make it, please consider donating and sharing our page with your friends, family, and work colleagues.
Thank you so much for your generosity and support.
Let's go, Miners!
Martin House supports children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families, across West, North and East Yorkshire. Our vision is that every child and young person has access to palliative care when and where they need it.
