Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This summer, my best mate Freddie and I are embarking on an epic adventure—an incredible 1250-mile thru-hike from Land’s End to John O’Groats. It’s a challenge we’ve been looking to take on for a while, but now it is time to do it and raise money for a great cause.
I’ll be walking in memory of my amazing Nan, Beryl, who bravely battled dementia for many years. Dementia is a horrible, progressive disease that doesn’t just take away memories—it takes away the person you know and love. I’ve seen how devastating this disease can be, not just for the person who is affected but for their family and friends too. That’s why I’m choosing to raise money for Dementia UK, a charity that’s dedicated to supporting families facing dementia and providing specialist advice and guidance.
We are aiming to complete this thru-hike in approximately 60 days, averaging roughly 20 miles per day. It won’t be easy, but we’re doing it because we want to make a difference. We want to raise awareness about dementia and help families who are struggling. So, whether you’re able to donate, share this story, or just send us some encouraging thoughts along the way, every little bit will make a huge difference.
Thank you for being a part of this journey. Let’s walk for a cause that truly matters.
Thank you,
Seth :)
