As many of you know, I’m the Centre and Operations Manager for the Pear Tree Centre in Halesworth, where we provide information and support for people with a life-changing illnesses or living with a life-changing illness and bereaved. We also provide care for gaps in care packages at EOL and emergency Care.

One of those illnesses is very close to my heart—dementia. My mum has been living with dementia for many years, and last week was one of the hardest of our family's life, as we had to make the difficult decision to move her into a care home.

In June, I’ll be taking part in the Lowestoft 10K, running in support of those affected by dementia. I’ll be raising money for the Pear Tree Centre so we can continue to support as many individuals and families as possible facing this incredibly challenging condition.
