In honour of my friend Rorz, I'll be completing seven marathons in seven days, across seven disciplines: trail, walk, swim, row, paddle, pedal, run — from the Shropshire Hills to the finish line of the London Marathon. Raising £3,000 for The Institute of Cancer Research.

In June 2026 Rorz passed away. He was diagnosed in the previous month with an aggressive form of gall bladder cancer which had spread to his liver. A month before that, we had been celebrating his 40th birthday together, none the wiser that there was anything wrong.
