Story
From 7-9 October, students from Sevenoaks School will present Brainstorm by Ned Glasier and Emily Lim with Company Three.
The play has been adapted by The Sackville Socitey in arrangement with Nick Hern Books and includes guest performances from students from Ibbenbüren. For many years, we have toured plays to Ibbenbüren, where we have enjoyed their warm hospitality. This year, we have the distinct pleasure of hosting them as they present A Cinderella Story, which will grace the stage of The Sackville Theatre on the 7 and 8 of October at 8:15 pm.
Brainstorm teaches us about the teenage brain. Through the play, we find out about what is different about the teenage brain compared to adults and how this may affect our behaviour and feelings as we grow up.
As it is also World Mental Health day on 10 October, we were keen to support a mental health charity and chose YoungMinds' Hello Yellow 2024 Campaign.
YoungMinds is the UK's leading charity championing the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. Driven by their experience, YoungMinds creates change so that children and young people can cope with life's adversities, find help when needed and succeed in life.
