We are excited to share our chosen charity for this year. As a result, of feedback from both Phase 3 children as well as parents and carers through Parent Council, we will be raising money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Many of you will have known someone who has been affected by cancer in some way. Any funds we raise will be used by the Royal Marsden as follows:

From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the best patient environments, we never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

There are two ways the children can get involved:

1. Fancy Dress Day in school – Tuesday 20th May

The children can use the day to dress up as creatively as they like (no hair dye or face paint please). We have set up a Just Giving page so that parents can donate directly. We will also be talking to children in assembly about the charity and encouraging them to think about giving up some of their pocket money, however small, so that they know they have done something kind to help others.

2. The Marsden Mile – Tuesday 20th May 3:20pm

This is a chance for you as a family to get involved. We have mapped out a circular mile route from school. Raise funds to walk, run or even find a friend and do a three-legged walk! As the children will already be in fancy dress, families might like to dress up as well.

Maps will be handed out from just inside the entrance gate on the day and you will receive a certificate on your return.

There will also be refreshments and snacks available with all proceeds going towards the Marsden.
