Story
Throughout the month of April, we will each commit to completing 56 miles by walking, cycling, running, or swimming. All activity will be tracked via Strava within our LSE group.
To conclude the challenge, the final 4 miles (bringing each participant’s total to 60 miles) will be completed together as a group walk around Brighton. During the walk, we will visit several of our sites, providing an opportunity to come together and celebrate our collective achievement. This final event will take place on 30 April 2026.
That's just over 1,000 miles. Did you know that 1,000 miles is approximately 2 million steps!
We will be inviting colleagues from across the business, including new team members as well as former colleagues. In addition, publicans and suppliers will also be invited to join us in supporting this fundraising charity event.
As part of Stonegate Group, we are supporting the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) who are taking a stand against suicide. That means standing against feeling rubbish, standing up to stereotypes, and standing together to show life is always worth living.
125 lives are lost every week to suicide. Suicide is now the leading cause of death for people aged 15-39, and men under the age of 50 in the UK. CALM exists to change this.
CALM do it by provoking conversation, running life-saving services, and bringing people together so they reject living miserably, get help when they need it and don't die by suicide.
