Staff and students at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College will be fasting from dawn to sunset on Tuesday 25th March. We are doing this to mark and celebrate Ramadan to show our Muslim friends and colleagues we recognise this important month, raising funds in the process is simply a bonus.

We have chosen to raise money for North Bristol and South Gloucestershire Food Bank. They provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
