Help Save Little Dua 💜
Dua, a beautiful 3-year-old, has been diagnosed with SPG50, a rare degenerative genetic disorder. She is one of only two children in the UK with this devastating condition, which slowly takes away a child's ability to walk, talk, and move.
Without intervention, Dua faces an unimaginable future—she will likely be wheelchair-dependent by age 10 and quadriplegic by 20.
Dua is the daughter of Nadia Ahmed, someone we recently came across. The love and determination of a mother fighting for her child’s life have inspired us to start this fundraiser.
There is hope. A gene therapy trial in the US could stop the progression of SPG50, offering Dua the chance to live a fuller, brighter future. However, this life-changing treatment comes at an overwhelming cost. The trial will cost £3 million to treat 8 children, and we need to raise £250,000 as a family contribution to secure Dua’s place.
As Muslims, we believe in the power of Sadaqah (charity). The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be their charity." (Tirmidhi)
Your donation, no matter how small, will not only help Dua but also serve as a means of ongoing reward for you, In’sha-Allah.
Let’s come together to give little Dua the chance she deserves. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. 💜
