Shahi/Subba's fundraiser for Swindon Down's Syndrome Group

300 miles in 3 weeks · 12 June 2023
I, Sgt Abin Subba and Sgt Kaushal Shahi are going to cycle 300 miles each in 3 weeks this month starting on 12th June to raise funds for the Swindon Down’s Syndrome charity; a cause that is close to the Shahi family.
Shahi’s son, Kaiden was born with down syndrome and just turn 10 years old yesterday on 4th June.
During his birthday month, we would like to celebrate his life and give back to the charity that has made a positive difference to Kaiden and his family with the ongoing support. Kaiden is an amazing, cheeky and most importantly, a loving boy who has changed the misconception about down syndrome around him.
It hasn’t been an easy ride for Shahi and his family. Kaiden had issues with his heart when he was born and needed help with everything from his physio, occupational therapy, speech, orthotics, audiology and he still requires support on some of these aspects.
Currently, Kaiden is part of this fantastic charity group who has been supporting him and other young people with their speech, inclusive leisure activities, new parental support, training in school, family events, workplace support and much more. Because of this extraordinary group, the Shahi family have become optimistic and hopeful for their sons’ bright future.
If you would also like to make a difference to Kaiden and other people with down syndrome, any help supporting this charity would be highly appreciated.
