Story
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.
I hope you are all in the best of health and iman.
As many of you may know, I am participating in my annual sponsored walk on October 15, 2025. This event is a wonderful opportunity for my school to come together for a noble cause. This is where we will walk to Regents Park, enjoy a picnic, and pray salah at the mosque before returning to school.
This year, we are uniting as sisters in Islam to raise funds for the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Sudan. Currently, Sudan is facing one of the most severe humanitarian crises in the world. Ongoing conflict has left millions without access to food, clean water, medical care, or safe shelter. Families have been displaced, children are suffering, and the need for urgent support grows every day.
Over 25 million people in Sudan are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance — that’s more than half the population. Nearly 8 million have been forced to flee their homes, and millions are at risk of famine due to ongoing conflict and food shortages. As a compassionate community, we cannot stand by and watch this tragedy unfold without taking action.
That is why we have come together to raise funds for Sudan through Muslim Hands, an organization dedicated to delivering vital aid directly to those in need. From emergency food parcels and clean water to healthcare and long-term support, every donation can help save lives.
I kindly ask you to share this page with your friends and family so that we can raise as much money as possible — our target is £500 — for our brothers and sisters in Sudan. This is inshallah going to provide 5 families with a month worths of food. Let us renew our intentions behind this walk so that it may serve as sadaqah jariyah for us all.
Subhaanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika, Ashhadu allaa ilaaha illaa anta, astaghfiruka wa atoobu ilayk
