Story

Our family went through a very scary time when our beautiful baby girl Sorcha suddenly became seriously ill when she was 7 months old and was diagnosed with having elevated pressure around her brain and severe papillodema. Those hours waiting for the results of her brain scans were the hardest of my life. Sorcha received the most incredible care at Addenbrokes hospital (paediatric opthalmology and neurology departments) and after 5 months she made a full recovery. She is now a very energetic, bold and fun toddler and as a family we are finally starting to put this experience behind us. I am running the Cambridge Half Marathon to raise money for the children departments at Addenbrooke's to help ensure that all babies and children receive the amazing care that Sorcha received and to show my gratitude ❤️

I am definitely not a runner and it's going to be a real challenge for me to complete the half marathon! But I know I will finish it and make Sorcha proud!

I would be so grateful if you could support me by making a small donation. Thank you so much.

Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT) is dedicated to supporting innovation in patient care at Addenbrooke's and the Rosie hospitals.
