Thanks for visiting my page - this is my story and why I'm running my first marathon to raise funds for an incredible charity...

About 9-months ago, I decided I wanted to run a marathon, so I signed up to do the Manchester half marathon (in October 2023) and the Manchester Marathon (in April 2024). A bucket list / midlife sort of thing... however, I don't particularly like running and with only 6-weeks to go, I have lost all motivation and have been on the verge of quitting.

So, I have found a purpose and an extremely good one...

A friend that I have had for over 20-years has got the bravest little girl, who sadly has a heart condition and has been through countless heart surgeries since birth and continues to amaze us all!

The Childrens Heart Surgery Fund have been incredible and have been a massive support to this, and many other families - so, to give me the motivation to ensure I complete my first marathon - I can assure you, every pound contributed will help to get me over the finish line!
