Story

Thank you so much for visiting my page.

This year, I’ll be taking on the Glasgow Kiltwalk — a 23‑mile walk from Glasgow Green to Balloch — on 26th April, raising money for the British Heart Foundation in memory of my neighbour and friend, Heather Magill. I’ll be walking alongside Heather’s husband, Neil, and my partner, Craig, and we would be incredibly grateful for your support.

Heather was diagnosed with heart failure in 2015 and received exceptional care from the BHF throughout her 10‑year journey. In 2025, she was told she would need a heart transplant, which took place in September. Sadly, due to complications, Heather passed away on 1st October 2025.

This fundraiser is in honour of Heather and the deep gratitude she and her family had for the continuous care, monitoring, emotional support, and hope the BHF provided. Although her story didn’t have the ending we all hoped for, it was not due to a lack of dedication from those involved in her care — including the incredible work of the British Heart Foundation.

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory diseases in the UK, but heartbreakingly, hundreds of people still lose their lives every day. Donations from people like you help fund life‑saving research and new treatments. £24 can fund two hours of research by an early‑career scientist, and every pound truly makes a difference.

Please give whatever you can to help me reach my target — your support means the world.

Thank you. ❤️
