Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi my name is Shane, I’m 29 from Beverely.

My Grandad has recently just been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, it’s come as a real shock to the family we didn’t know much about the disease but I want to spread awareness and hopefully raise some useful funds along the way.

On the 25th May 2024;

I’m going to attempt to complete the Yorkshire 3 peaks twice in 24 hours, that’s over 52 miles and 6 700m mountains climbed with a total elevation of over 3200m , 3x higher than Ben Nevis . Me and 3 other top guys from the gym will be doing this.

As well as this, my gym boot camp morning team are keen to join in on the action and attempt the challenge once round to support me and help out with fundraising. ( and push me the last few miles..!)

Team members doing the challenge twice;

Me (Shane) , Mike, Sam, Wayne

Team members doing the challenge once;

Molly, Harriet,Sammii, Gary, Elliot,

Lisette and Paul (Mum and Dad -go parents 🙌)

Chris and Jo

UPDATE

Completed the challenge 80km walked over 18:30 hours none stop and 3200m climbed. Over

111,000 steps stomped.

Thanks to eveybody that helped along the way and pushed us on and donated!

Until the next one!🙌
