The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is reported to have said, “Charity does not decrease wealth.” [Muslim] In fact, our religion teaches that your wealth will multiply.

THE ORPHAN PROJECT, AFRICA

As you may be aware, we set up The Orphan Project in Tanzania, Africa in 2021. A project very close to my heart.

Since then, we have turned what was once just a vision into a beautiful reality. Over the last two years, with your support and generosity we have developed a fully integrated orphan life-long care programme and are now fully supporting 89 orphans with:

1. EDUCATION – by choosing the most needy orphans from remote rural villages where there are no schools or any way of making a living and have enrolled those orphans in the BEST QUALITY schools and provided them with a chance to excel in life;

2. QURAN TAJWEED CLASSES – in 2022 with your help, we introduced Quran education for our orphans;

3. SCHOOL SUPPLIES & TRANSPORT - school uniform, stationery, bags, books, transport facilities for travelling to school and home;

4. FOOD – protection from starvation by providing food and 3 sufficient healthy meals at school and their home; and

5. HEALTH INSURANCE - access to private health insurance so they can access free health treatment throughout the year from a private hospital.

With your kind donations we raised an exceptional £30,093 in our first year, and £42,908.22 in our second year – thank you! This year, I hope that we can raise £10,000 to continue to maintain our Orphan Project to ensure that we can continue to provide our beautiful orphans the life they truly deserve and continue to provide a future for many more orphans in Tanzania.

At this point it should be noted that I do not make nor have I in the past made any profit whatsoever from this cause or from your donations. All donations are sent straight to our project in Africa and this why I have chosen Islamic Help as they are completely transparent and uphold a 100% donation policy.

WHAT ISLAM SAYS ABOUT ORPHANS

Providing for orphans is so deep rooted in our religion of Islam that Allah SWT mentions orphans in the Holy Quran at least 25 times! In addition, our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) reminded us of the virtues of caring for an orphan, as he was an orphan himself.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, ‘O People! One whoever gives iftar to a fasting person during this month [Ramadhan] will be like one who has freed someone and his past sins will be forgiven.’
