I am running the Cardiff Half Marathon on 4th October 2026 in support of the RMA – The Royal Marines Charity; a cause that is incredibly close to my heart.

My Dad has served for 34 years, and my partner Connor has served for 12, dedicating a combined 46 years to their service so far. Growing up as a Royal Marine’s child, my siblings and I experienced first-hand the realities of military life - the long deployments, the uncertainty, the resilience it demands, and the strength of the community that surrounds it. Now, as a military partner myself, I see it differently. It’s living with constant uncertainty, being strong through long separations, and missing moments that matter. But it’s also pride, loyalty, and a community that always has your back when it counts.

Being a Royal Marine isn’t just a job – it’s a unique family. And with that comes both pride and sacrifice. I’ve seen the impact service can have, not only on those who wear the uniform but on the loved ones who support them every step of the way.

The Royal Marines Charity does vital work supporting serving personnel, veterans, and their families through some of the most challenging times - whether that’s physical injury, mental health struggles, financial aid or the transition back to civilian life.

Running this half marathon is my way of giving something back to a community that has shaped so much of who I am. Every mile I run is for my Dad, my partner Connor, and every Royal Marine and family member who has faced the challenges that come with service.
