The Multiple System Atrophy Trust is the UK and Ireland's only charity dedicated to providing specialist support to all those affected by MSA; a life-limiting neurodegenerative brain disease. We rely entirely on voluntary donations to provide our free support services.

Story

MSA (Multiple System Atrophy) is a debilitating, progressive neurological disorder with no known cause or cure.

This disease does not discriminate, and until recently it was thought to be very rare. However, as we learn more about the disease it has become easier to recognise and diagnose. Therefore, I will be running the Bath Half Marathon in October 2023, raising funding for the MSA Trust to increase awareness of this harsh disease in addition to supporting their research and the work they do with families affected by the condition.

My personal experience with this disorder is through my uncle, Richard, who lost his battle with MSA last year and as a result I will be running in his memory.

If you are able to donate, please click the link below to contribute, no matter how small. Your contribution will directly support MSA Trust initiatives.

Otherwise, help to raise awareness through education of the disease. Links to the MSA Trust website are also below.
