In memory of Mum

Last year my beautiful mum took her own life and left an angel shaped hole in our world. Since then my life has felt very chaotic and the only person In the world that could make me feel better is gone. I have been so so lucky to have an amazing support network of friends and family who have gone above and beyond to help support and understand my grief. However it can be a very lonely journey, and that is why in October I will be running the London Royal Parks half marathon, in support of Suicide&Co. These are an amazing charity that help support those bereaved by suicide and provide them with life-changing counselling. They even offer advice and guidance on how to support those around you going through suicide bereavement. I wanted to do something in mum’s memory, whilst also getting myself out and doing something good for my own mental health. I’d be so so grateful if you could donate anything at all to this amazing cause! 🏃💪🩵💜.

Suicide&Co’s story

We are supporting those bereaved by suicide, because suicide always has company. The most recent figures show that there were a reported 6,507 suicides in the UK, that number multiplies when you think of the family & friends left behind.

At Suicide&Co, our aim is to start a conversation about suicide-related grief. We recognise that an end like this, should be the start of many new conversations.

We want to raise money to offer counselling grants to those bereaved by suicide.
