Shannon's fundraiser for Beatson Cancer Charity in memory of Sharon.

Zipslide the Clyde 2024 · 7 September 2024 ·
I am going to be ziplining 1000ft of a crane across the River Clyde 150ft in the air to raise money the Beatson Cancer Charity in memory of my mum.
In the West of Scotland 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
My mum became part of that statistic in November 2020. She sadly passed away at age 44 in February 2021 after a short battle with Ovarian Cancer. The Beatson were there for my mum and us as a family every single step of the way and we could never repay them for the time they were able to give us together in those short months. In my mums memory I would like to try to fundraise as much as possible to give back a little of what they gave to us 💛
£5 - Could provide comforting hot drinks to five Beatson patients waiting for appointments.
£25 - Could provide an hour of relaxing massage, helping Beatson patients to cope with stress and anxiety during cancer treatment.
£30 - Can help someone affected by cancer and their loved ones through a time when they are worried about their finances and losing their income
£50 - Could fund a wig consultation and care pack for Beatson patients experiencing hair loss.
£100 - Could fund our much-loved tea trolley service for one week; offering complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits to people and families attending The Beatson
I hope no-one reading this ever has to use the services which the Beatson offer but i would be so so grateful if you could donate as much as you are able to help those who sadly do. I know times are tough just now so if you cannot afford to donate please feel free to share my page with others!
