Story

I'm taking to the skies and braving a 12,000 ft skydive for Pilgrims Hospices!

Five years ago, Nat was diagnosed with breast cancer. Over two years ago the cancer returned in her bones, and most recently it spread to her lungs and brain. After a short stay in the hospice, she sadly passed away on Saturday 25th April 2026 at just 51 years old.

The journey Nat faced over those five years was long and incredibly tough. Yet she met every challenge with determination, positivity, and that stubborn streak we all loved. Even on the hardest days, she still found a way to smile, to laugh, and to make others feel at ease. Her sense of humour never left her, even when she was in pain.

Nat was truly one of a kind. She was selfless, giving quietly and wholeheartedly without ever expecting anything in return. She found joy in the simple things, lived with gratitude, and was genuinely content in every part of her life. She touched so many people with her kindness and warmth.

During her final days, the staff at Pilgrims Hospices were nothing short of extraordinary. They cared for Nat with compassion, dignity, and gentleness — and they supported every member of our family who came to visit. No matter what time of day it was or how busy their shift, nothing was ever too much trouble. They made an unbearably difficult time just that little bit easier, and we will always be grateful.
