Simply the Breast

I am taking part in the Mighty Stride Kiltwalk in memory of my daughter Debbie… 💜 who was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in April 2021. Debbie had a real zest for life and enjoyed every moment. She was an adventurous and extremely determined young woman. During her battle Debbie continued to think of others as she always had, and decided to write a blog to not only tell her story, but to raise awareness of the horrible disease that is Cancer.

She named her blog “Just Another Challenge”, as Debbie believed that this was just that, another challenge!

Debbie was a member of Stockton Striders running club, and had previously ran the York full marathon, Edinburgh half marathon, and of course the Great North Run, her last run being in August 2022 which was supported by her Dollies and raising £10,443.01 for South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust.

Debbie loved going to the Lake District, her last walk being The Old Man of Coniston in March 2023, which even although she was struggling at times took it in her stride.

Debbie fought a good fight in her battle against her illness, before sadly passing away peacefully and surrounded by her family and friends at Alice House Hospice 22/04/2023. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
