Story
As my 40th birthday approaches, I’m pausing to celebrate my communities and the broader movements in Chicago that inspire me and help me find hope in dark times.
Instead of gifts, I’m asking you to donate to Crossroads Fund and help me reach my birthday fundraising goal of $2,500 for Chicago’s grassroots organizations.
With Chicago under attack by the federal government—whether it’s ICE, cutting healthcare, threatening pretrial reforms, or denying funding for programs we need—our organized communities are the foundation of our defense.
For decades, Crossroads Fund has supported the grassroots groups that are leading efforts to keep people safe in Chicago while sustaining the long-term work that advances justice.
Crossroads Fund redistributed $5.3 million to 221 organizations in Fiscal Year 2024.
I’m proud to be a board member of Crossroads Fund, which gets critical resources directly into the hands of local activists and grassroots movement organizations by pooling support from community members like you. Through Crossroads Fund, donations support immigration justice, work against criminalization, LGBTQIA+ rights, workers’ rights, disability justice, youth organizing, and more.
Please join me by making your donation today!
