West Highland Way sponsorship is my way of doing something slightly mad for a place I care deeply about.

I love hiking, but I’ve never taken on a multi-day walk like this. Day walks are one thing, walking for days on end is another. I know parts of this will be hard, uncomfortable, and probably a bit grim at times. That’s exactly why I’m doing it.

I’m walking the West Highland Way (around 154 km) in 2026 as part of our 120 years of His Majesty’s Theatre celebrations. To mark the anniversary, we’re aiming to raise £120,000 for 120 years.

Your support helps protect and grow the creative engagement work that sits alongside HMT’s programme. That includes Light the Blue, our youth arts festival, which gives young people and emerging artists space to create, perform and build confidence.

The money raised helps us:

• Support creative opportunities for children and young people

• Back emerging artists at the start of their careers

• Keep HMT active as a place for participation, not only performances

This walk will stretch me well beyond my comfort zone. Your support really would mean a lot.
