Since 2005, the British Hen Welfare Trust (BHWT) has been rehoming commercial laying hens destined for slaughter. With more than 1,400 volunteers and 50 rehoming sites around the UK, they rehome tens of thousands of hens every year – the charity’s millionth hen even went to live with His Majesty the King.

I am fundraising for the BHWT so they can continue their lifesaving work, improve welfare conditions for all laying hens and inspire the next generation of hen keepers. By supporting me you are helping even more hens live happier, healthier lives.

As a volunteer myself for around 14 years, and having rehomed well over 100 hens of my own, I can testify firsthand to the deserving nature of our feathered friends - they bring joy (and delicious eggs!), have individual character, and it is genuinely heartwarming to witness their daily antics.
