Why I’m Taking Part in the Sue Ryder Starlight Hike 🌟
On 3rd October, I’ll be taking part in the Sue Ryder Starlight Hike in Bedford to raise money for an organisation that means so much to me and my family.
I’ve realised that I accidentally put the wrong location on my JustGiving page and listed Worth Valley instead of Bedford — the hike I’m doing is definitely the Bedford Starlight Hike.
I’m raising money for Sue Ryder because my husband, Nas, spent his final days in their care. They looked after him when he was at his most vulnerable and made sure that he was comfortable, cared for and treated with dignity during his final days.
The care they provided meant so much to me too. Knowing that Nas was being looked after gave me some comfort during an incredibly heartbreaking time.
Hospice care is so important, but organisations like Sue Ryder rely heavily on donations to continue providing that care to patients and supporting their families. They need funding to keep doing the incredibly important work they do.
I’m doing this hike in memory of Nas and to give something back to the people who cared for him when we needed them most. ❤️
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean so much to me and would help Sue Ryder continue providing the care that made such a difference to Nas and to our family.
Thank you for supporting me and helping me raise money for such an important cause. 🌟❤️
