On the weekend of 21 April, Mark, myself and some of our friends will be climbing new heights and going where we've never been before all in the name of Charity.... as we take on the Three Peaks 24 hour challenge...

For me this is going to be gruelling, and whilst I know I have a general level of fitness this is a whole other level. However, it's one that I am embracing with determination, and if I'm honest a little apprehension. To climb the three highest mountains in the UK in under 24 hours is something I have always wanted to be able to say I have accomplished.

Soul Foundation and Soul Church are charities that are very close to my heart, as it is a place where people can 'come as they are' and feel safe and loved, and most importantly find hope, purpose and fulfilment. There are so many stories of life's that have been changed forever because of this place.

Soul Foundation, which is part of Soul Church believes that every person has value and matters, and their ethos is showing love in a practical way and they have been doing this to those who need it most in our city and beyond. During the pandemic , Soul Foundation delivered more than 4 million meals to families who needed it most in our region.

The new Soul Community hub will be a landmark for not only our city, but our region also, and will be a home to people of all ages and walks of life. It will provide a safe place where all can come and feel loved and valued...
