Mr Brayne resides at Withywood extra care facility in Shrewsbury this is run by The Wrekin Housing Group who are supporting him to walk 90 laps of the buildings grounds to commemorate his upcoming 90th birthday.

John will be supported by fellow tenants and staff to complete this challenge in memory of his late wife Jean. Jean passed away in 2019 with cancer.

John feels that the Severn Hospice are such a valuable service for Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and understands the amazing work they do for people with cancer and their families.

it is such a difficult time and John would like to raise as much money as he can to help this fantastic cause.

Severn Hospice is with families from the moment they're referred to its care for as long as they need it, and it does this every day, all day for anyone in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales who needs that help.

It does this for them for free, but it is not without cost and it can't happen without you.

For every £1 you donate, they will spend 83p directly on care - and use the remaining 17p to make another £1.

Last year, all those individual donations helped provide more than £9m of caring services.
