I’m taking part in the Pendle Pub Walk 2026, a 13-mile circular walk through Pendle’s beautiful countryside (with hills, and stiles and cow fields!), to raise vital funds.

Now in its 17th year and organised by Pendleside Hospice & Burnley Pendleside Rotary Club, and kindly sponsored by Alderson and Horan Funeral Services, it’s a great day out (when it stays fine!) but with a powerful purpose.

It currently costs £6.4 million a year to run the hospice, with only around 20% funded. That’s why fundraising – and your support – is so important.
