Sharon's fundraiser for Enhance Quality in Parkinsons

5K everyday until Christmas 🎄
It took me 58 years to learn to run
And the timing couldn't have been better
Two weeks ago I completed the Burnley Couch to 5k after 9 weeks of training
Two days after that was my dads funeral
Throughout this horrendous time, running kept me sane with a focus to be able to complete a Parkrun without stopping.
A month or so before this I met Ali King at an event organised by Liz Boswell - Bold Moves Coach.
During lunch Ali told me she was a Trustee at Parkinson's EQUIP Charity, the disease my dad was suffering from, and I agreed to meet the other Trustees to see if I could help to raise funds.
The Charity provides funds to enable people with Parkinsons to access activities such as sports or arts and crafts which I know from experience is vitally important. It alleviates stiffness in joints and in the earlier stages, if dad had been for a game of bowls or a walk, I could just tell before he told me - it lifted his mood and I could see the mental as well as physical effect on him.
So here goes, I like a focus and I like a target - so to get me through this time on the run up to Christmas without dad, I'm going to run a 5K everyday from today (1st December) in dads memory, and end on Christmas Day with the Burnley parkrun with my family
If you can sponsor any amount, I would be so grateful.
