Story
I am fundraising for Pendleside Hospice in memory of my husband, Jonathan. Although he was only in their care for a short time, the compassion, dignity, and gentleness shown to him - and to me and our family - made a lasting impression that I will never forget.
Pendleside didn’t just look after Jonathan’s medical needs — they looked after us as people. They supported us through some of the hardest moments of our lives with empathy, patience, and genuine kindness. Their care gave us comfort when we needed it most, and I will always be grateful for the way they held our hands through those final days.
Pendleside Hospice relies on donations to continue offering this level of support to families like ours. If you are able to contribute, no matter the amount, it will help ensure that others receive the same compassion and dignity that meant so much to us.
It currently costs £6.4 million a year to run the hospice, with only around 20% funded. That’s why fundraising – and your support – is so important.
Thank you for helping me honour Jonathan’s memory.
