This May, our mum is taking on the Walk for Waldenstrom’s to raise money for WMUK – and this one is very close to home for us.

In June last year, our dad was diagnosed with Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinaemia, a rare type of Blood Cancer. Like many people, we had never even heard of it before his diagnosis. Since then, we’ve been learning more about the condition and just how important the right support and information can be.

That’s why Mum is aiming to walk 100 miles throughout May – to raise awareness and funds for WMUK, the only UK charity dedicated to supporting people affected by Waldenstrom’s and to help maintain the running of the nurse led support line that provides invaluable support and information to patients and families, helping people feel less alone while navigating something that can be incredibly overwhelming.
