Sharon's fundraiser for Rhondda Sea Cadets

Sharon Smith is raising money for Rhondda Sea Cadets

Team: Team fundraising for Rhondda Sea Cadets

The Rhondda Sea Cadet Corps is a youth charity. In the Rhondda Valleys. That deliveries a experience like no other and opportunities only a few out side the organisation will ever do. We follow customs & traditions of Todays Royal Navy.

Story

As a Unit Management Trustee for this cadet unit I get the chance to see first hand how every penny raised goes towards giving young people amazing opportunities to carry out learning and development in a structured and enriching, fun environment. Every penny donated is used wisely to provide adventure, learning and development which will impact on the future of these young people.

We are raising funds as part of our Road to £10k campaign, and this page will remain live until we reach our fundraising target of £10,000.

Throughout the year, we will be undertaking a variety of fundraising activities to generate much‑needed funds in support of Rhondda Sea Cadets. These activities are designed not only to raise money, but also to raise awareness of the vital work the unit carries out for young people in the community.

Please continue to check back regularly, as we will be sharing updates, stories and progress from each event along the way.

Saturday 16th May

10k Walk to Rhondda Sea Cadets

We will be launching our fundraising journey with a 10km walk in South Wales, finishing at the Rhondda Sea Cadets centre. Members of the CVA Committee, along with their families, will be taking part to mark the start of this campaign and show their support for the unit.

Saturday 6th June

D‑Day Memorial Walk

On Saturday 6th June, colleagues and members of the CVA will take part in the D‑Day Memorial Walk, raising funds for Rhondda Sea Cadets. The walk will begin at the British Normandy Memorial in Ver‑sur‑Mer and follow the historic Gold, Juno and Sword Beaches, concluding at Pegasus Bridge. This powerful route honours the courage and sacrifice of those involved in D‑Day — a defining moment in history that helped secure the freedoms we enjoy today.
