A few years ago, Shaz, Rob, Jo and I met up in our campervans in Hay-On-Wye (gatecrashing Libby and Marc's honeymoon), and after a squiffy wander across a farmer's field, the Convivial Cowpat Campers were born.

Many trips to the Lakes, Somerset and food festivals followed, with brilliant memories made.

Sadly, JoJo passed away with an aggressive form of lung cancer in February 2025 having been diagnosed just a few months before. We all miss her and will be thinking of her (and channelling her stubborn determination) on this hike, whilst raising money for Macmillan, who do valuable work for people with cancer and their families.

The challenge we have set ourselves is not an easy one - three retirees who love the outdoors, but perhaps love the pubs and campsite barbecues side of things more than the hiking - but we hope you will support us on our quest in the Cotswolds.

We will be walking 13 miles from Cornbury Park to Blenheim Palace, so hopefully there will be tea and cake at the finish line.
