Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My girlfriend recently gave birth to our first baby who was born with a Unilateral Cleft lip and palate. Alls we hear is how amazing the cleft team at Alder Hey are and so far they have lived up to this expectation. Running fell upon me shortly after Rory was born whilst running 3km a day throughout November for Mind charity in memory of a friends brother. Since then I decided I would like to keep it up for something close to my heart, Rory. So I chose to run in support of Alder Hey Children’s Charity with him in mind but also all the other children who you see when you enter those doors who are battling their own adversities at such a young age. No child or parent should have to go through it, so any donations help fund equipment and research to keep fighting these issues is appreciated.
Rory had his first of 2 operations on 3rd December 2025 and we can not credit every member of staff involved enough. The surgeons are magic the nurses, doctors, consultants, anaesthetists, volunteers and so on are all fantastic and we’re so proud to have such a great place on our doorstep.
